2023 Roadwork Projects

STH 42 Roadwork - April - June 2023

Beginning Monday, May 1st, STH 42/57 will be closed to traffic nightly from 6 p.m. - 6 a.m.  This project will address the deteriorating roadway pavement and improve safety including guardrail installation, widening of the existing paved shoulder, concrete repair, mill and overlay of existing asphalt and culvert improvements.  The project area will begin 800 feet north of the Egg Harbor Road roundabout and end 600 feet north of the mid-junction of STH 42 and STH 57.  The construction will begin Monday, April 24th and is expected to be completed in June.

CTH C Roadwork - Fox Lane to Pickeral Road - May 2023

This project will include pulverizing the current pavement, culvert replacement, grading and prepping the road for resurfacing and installation of  3 1/2 inches of new hot mix asphalt which will require two lifts.  Shouldering and centerline striping will take place after the curing period is complete.  

Pulverizing will begin on or around May 3rd.  The paving is expected to be completed around May 26th, weather permitting.  The road will be open to traffic at all times, with some exception during culvert installation when portions of the road will be closed for short periods of time.  Paving operations will require lane closures and flagmen will be used as necessary to control traffic.  

Please use caution around road construction crews and equipment.  Due to the nature of the project, you will experience loose gravel and dusty conditions.  Please slow down when traveling or find an alternate route when possible.
